Sample of the Business Travel Requirements for a Ukraine Visa for Australian Citizens

  1. Visa Validity

    Visa is valid from the date of issue. Entry and exit must occur within the validity of the visa.

    The validity of the issued visa is at the discretion of the Embassy/Consulate and may vary to that advertised.

  2. Duration of Stay

    Duration of stay permitted is based on the applicant's requested dates and is issued at the Consular Officer's discretion.

  3. Passport

    The applicant's actual passport. The passport must: 

    • Be valid for six months beyond exit date
    • Have two blank facing visa pages

  4. Photograph(s)

    You must provide a photograph. Upload your photo and we will print it to the exact specifications required for this visa. Follow http://cibtvisas.com.au/photo-service.php to upload your photo.

     

    Alternatively, you may provide two colour, passport-type photographs that meets the following strict criteria: be taken within the last three months against an all-white background and printed on high-quality photo paper; be 45mm (h) by 35mm (w); provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may wear neither eyeglasses nor headwear except for religious purposes. Your photos should be glued to the designated section of the visa application form (in the absence of a designated area, affix to the top right or top left corner).

  5. Business Introduction Letter

    You are required to provide a Business Introduction Letter from your Australian-based company. Be certain your letter meets the specific requirements of the consulate by using our Digital Introduction Cover Letter. Visit http://cibtvisas.com.au/bcl-order to get started.

  6. Proof of Travel Arrangements

    Details of travel arrangements. These must be provided as a copy of the flight confirmation showing exact entry and exit dates and locations.

  7. Proof of Travel Insurance

    Copy of actual travel insurance policy certificate. The certificate must state:

    • Full name of the applicant
    • That the policy is valid for the duration of the entire trip

  8. Proof of Financial Means

    Evidence of available funds. This must be provided as:

    • A current bank statement no more than three months old, showing transactions for the last 3 months - A credit card statement will not be accepted
    • Showing the applicants name
    • Showing a minimum of $1,000 per applicant  

  9. Visa Application Form

    The Embassy of Ukraine requires a visa application form that is completed online. To access the Online Visa Form follow the link: http://visa.mfa.gov.ua
     
    ** IMPORTANT **

    Please ensure you include your name exactly as it appears in your passport - Applicants with a middle name/s must include the Middle name(s) in the First name(s) (Given name(s)) field of the online application form. 

    Once the online application form has been completed, applicants will be required to:

    • Upload a photo - the same photo as the one which will be affixed to the form must be used. The photograph must be uploaded in JPEG format and must be 3x4 aspect ratio.
    • Schedule a Lodgement date and time - Please select the next available time on the next available working day -  This is a mandatory requirement in order to proceed with the online application process. Please note that applicants are not required to apply in person on the scheduled appointment date/time - normal CIBTvisas lodgement procedures will apply.

    Once all required documents have been uploaded, the completed Online Visa Application Form which appears at the end of the online process must be printed and signed by the applicant.

    Hard copies of all documents must still be submitted to the Embassy with the passport.

    The Embassy will not accept applications which have not been completed online prior to lodgement.

  10. CIBTvisas Order Confirmation

  11. Applicants Born in the Ukraine

    Applicants born in the Ukraine, previously holding Ukrainian Citizenship, must provide one the following:

    • The previous Ukrainian passport - If the applicant was included in the mothers' or fathers' passport, this passport must be provided
    • If the previous Ukrainian passport is not available, proof that the passport has been cancelled
    • If the applicant cannot provide either of the above, the Embassy will require a statement written and signed by the applicant, declaring that they have renounced their Ukrainian citizenship, and are no longer in possession of a Ukrainian passport
    • Additional documentation may be requested by the Embassy, at their discretion.

  12. Visa Conditions

    Those applying for a visa longer than 3 months need to present an HIV test certificate.

  13. Minors

    Visas will be issued free of charge to children under 6 years of age.

    Applicants aged 6 years or over, will be required to pay the visa fee.

  14. Traveller Registration (highly recommended)

Sample of the Tourist Travel Requirements for a Ukraine Visa for Australian Citizens

  1. Visa On Arrival May be Possible

    A Single Entry Tourist visa can be obtained upon arrival for stays up to 15 days against payment of 510 Ukrainian Hryvna(approx.AUD$30.00)

    The traveller must:

    • Enter via Boryspil Kiev, Odessa Airport in Odessa and Odessa Sea Port in Odessa ONLY
    • Enter via one of the above listed entry points between the hours of 08:00am and 8:00 pm ONLY
    • Carry documents proving the tourist nature of the trip  - hotel bookings, excursion bookings, travel vouchers or contract for the provision of tourist service
    • Hold a passport valid at least six months beyond intended stay with two blank visa pages
    • Hold proof of sufficient funds
    • Hold proof of onward/ return airline tickets
    • Hold all documents required for the next destination
    • Hold a Visa for the next destination, if required
    • Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change

    • A copy of the hotel confirmation or tour confirmation from either a Ukrainian or Australian tourist agency showing tour details and hotel booking confirmation
    • A copy of the flight confirmation showing exact entry and exit dates for all entries into the Ukraine

    For those who are traveling on a cruiseship and wish to go onshore for a day trip a visa is still required. If they have no accommodation booked onshore and will be sleeping onboard the ship the Embassy will accept an invoice from the cruise company showing it is fully paid and a detailed cruise itinerary.

  14. Humanitarian Visits

    Applicants requesting a Humanitarian Visa must submit a written confirmation of the Humanitarian commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine about humanitarian aid or charity activities.

  15. Minors

    Visas will be issued free of charge to children under 6 years of age.
